Few days ago I was talking to a guy at the health club I just started going to. (Never had spare time when I was employed.) We started having a conversation about our personal trainers. If you aren't familiar with the term, these are fitness pros who have been trained to design work-out routines based on individuals strengths, needs and targets.
In any case, Rick said something that bulls-eyed me right in the middle of my eyes. "I got so overwhelmed reading all the books and fitness periodicals. Each of us has their own opinion of what works the best. I after a long time figured if I was going to strengthen my fitness, I could as well pick one expert, be attentive to them and follow their routine."

I was guilty of this, too. I must have paid for several hundred dollars worth of books and courses until I saw what worked for me, with my very own internet business.
Fortunately, the professional I decided to follow was, in hindsight, an outstanding choice. And by following his advice and following his ideas, I have created a couple of successful earnings streams.
I'm not telling you that my "guru" is the right choice for everyone. The point is to select one or maybe a couple of people you really appreciate, and model them. Certainly, make sure they are actually successful in their own businesses first. But when you encounter with someone you appreciate and who have got the style you like, listen to their tips and follow what they propose in their writings.

Using this strategy can save lots of brain cells that you would use shifting strategies and tactics. It avoids perplexity and gives you a great point of reference from which to work.
You don't have to keep reading and searching for the most updated eBooks. Presume your guru knows the latest tactics and will recommend you of how good they do their job.
I'm not saying you never read from another eBook or eZine again, it's just that when you have one main star you stay with, it's that much easier to find your way, working from home.
